What a ham!

Just a few funny pictures from the past few weeks...

Shea put his sunglasses on Carson when he got home from work the other day, and Carson wouldn't take them off the rest of the night. He ate his dinner with them on and probably would have taken his bath with them on if I had let him.

Carson is really into shoes these days. When I tell him, 'We're going to 'such and such', let's put our shoes on' he runs to the stairs, sits on the step, and dangles his little feet until I get there. I'm more excited about the outing, and I think he's more excited about getting to wear his shoes! He's got some pretty big shoes to fill in this picture.

Newest Addition to the Family

After a VERY long hiatus, I finally asked Shea to show me how to update this thing. So I will attempt to keep it current.

It certainly took a few weeks to get used to having another little one around here, but things have fallen into place now. Caleb definitely seems to have a stronger personality than Carson did at this age, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Even in these 2 short months, Caleb has been such an amazing addition to our family - even his big brother Carson already loves him.

Here's Caleb at 2 weeks...

And at 4 weeks, he's becoming quite a chunk...

But hopefully they will be the best of friends...

Griswald family vacation to the atlantic coast

Danielle and Carson with the "Paula Deen Boys", Bobby Deen and Jamie Deen.  We ate lunch at Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah, GA.  It was as us southerners call it, "Good eatins".

Carson in Hilton Head Island, SC, on his first trip to the beach.

First night in Charleston, just in time for Hurricane Hanna to miss us by 60 miles to the north.

Introduction to wrestling

I wanted to show Carson a basic move at first.  This is what I call "the body slam".  He has no idea what he is about to get himself into.

He quickly ripped off his shirt after I slammed him to the ground.  I went into Mike Tyson mode, and started to bite his little ear.  That is when I must admit, I don't remember anything else.  Warning: What you are about to see is a little dude gone wild.

Here is what Carson whispered in my ear as an "armbar".  I guess that is a MMA term (Mixed Martial Arts).  It hurt.

This is my son jumping from the ceiling fan on top of me, delivering a knockout blow as he used his 20lb frame to take my breath away.

When did 8 month old boys learn
to use a knee to the back of the head????

Here is where dad faced the ultimate humiliation... The dreaded "tap out".  I didn't wake up for 3 days.

To add insult to injury, my wife holds him up, declared as "the Champion: Carson the Crippler"
