Visit from Kackie

This past week-end Shea's mom came to visit. She was such a huge help changing diapers, feeding one or the other, and baby-sitting (I had forgotten how much quicker trips to the store were without the kiddos!) that I felt like I had a nanny for a few days!! She even baby-sat for us Saturday night so we could go over to the Wingate's for dinner. Thanks Kackie! We all love you!

Doctor's Visit

We visited the doctor this morning for the boys' checkup, Carson's 18 month checkup (which we're only 1 month behind on), and Caleb's 2 month checkup. Carson weighed in at 24 lbs (which was only the 20th percentile) but he's been holding steady there for at least 6 months! I can't remember his height (the memory is going quick these days), but it was in the 85th percentile. So it's looking like he may be tall and lean like his dad.

As for Caleb, he weighed in at 13 1/2 lbs (88th percentile) and I think he was about 23 inches long ? (50th percentile). The doctor told me to cut out the dairy for the next 2 weeks to see if that clears up the rash on his face and head and improves his 'digestive issues'. I didn't realize how much dairy I actually consume in a day (not large amounts, but scattered throughout every meal I eat). I guess that means no more ice cream after dinner, but I'll happily oblige if that clears up his little face.
